Tell your story
your way
in your voice.
If your message were generic, predictable, or boring, no one would care how you shared it.

Sure, why not.
But you have a creative,
surprising, interesting story
to tell. Don’t you want it to
sound like you?
How can someone else explain your concept, pitch your vision, or make your argument in your voice?
Here’s how I do it.
I like to meet with clients—usually through a phone call or video chat—for at least an hour to get a sense of what they need to say and how it should sound.
At first, I just listen, picking up the general subject as well as the rhythm and meter of my client’s voice.
Then, I ask lots of questions to make sure I understand what’s important to my client and why.
After we’ve talked, I’ll spend some time letting their ideas and their voice sink in.
A few days later, I review my notes and re-organize the conversation into an outline that flows logically.
Once I know what I need to say and how I want to say it, I write it up.
Finally, I give it a hard edit and share it with my client.

You don’t have to know
where you’re going
